Twitter has gone out on a new journey, introducing new features to the brand and getting rid of the unnecessary ones. The latest feature brings, Fave People, photo tagging and tweet albums.
Twitter now let’s you tag up to 10 people in the photos you upload, without it affecting your character limit. So you don’t have to think twice before tagging. The second photo feature, lets you add up to four photos at a time.
You might have come across this new tab on Twitter recently. It’s called ‘Fave People’ and basically what you can do is go ahead and add the people, whose tweets you want to check on a regular basis. This will help you surpass the clutter and get right to the people whose tweets matter to you. Albeit, you still have to go through the list of people you follow and add them to the ‘Fave People’ list manually. Probably, it will get smarter in the near future and suggest the people that you interact the most with on the network.
That being said, Twitter has also recently gotten rid of Twitter Music.
They have, instead tied up with Billboard in the US, to provide Billboard Twitter Real-Time Charts. According to Billboard “As part of the initiative, Billboard and Twitter have signed a Twitter Amplify partnership, which will help distribute the chart beyond Billboard.com and include custom in-Tweet charts and in-Tweet video round ups of the week in music on Twitter”. If this tie-up proves to be successful, they might be looking to expand this experiment in other countries.
What do you think of the new features and who do you think Twitter should tie up with, in case they are to release the music charts in India? Do drop a comment with your thoughts.
